![]() ![]() Not a fan of clutchnet though, seen them blow up. I'm not worried about having a "heavy clutch" or something super streetable, I have 3 cq's, a 4kq, and a b8.5 a4 so I'm constantly changing between cars. Car is on coils, rear sway bar, adjustable upper control arms all the way around, rear adjustable sway bar end links and rear tie rods, spherical front sway links, 17z up front, 4 pot rears, aluminum uprights, and I'm sure I'm forgetting things. I occasionally take the s4 out to track days but mostly drive canyons and high speed pulls. I drive like I stole the car pretty much everyday. I will be running full rs4 intake including manifold, 2.8 cams, rods, and all necessary supporting modifications. I will be tuning for 91 most of the time but will be running an e85 tune in the summer. There are a handful of engines in Audi’s and VW’s that have faulty torque converters, often referred to as TC, so it isn’t too common but is apparent in automatic B5 S4’s. I have k04-028/029's sitting here but I'm much more interested in either 6258's or tte 600's. Buy Here: B5 S4 Upgraded K04 Turbo Replacement. There may be some better driving options out there if you arent planning on putting a whoopin on it like Jesse. What kinda power are you shooting for and how do you plan on driving? The srm, b:b5, and all look very similar to me. Most aftermarket clutches for this use a B5 RS4 pressure plate.Įverything graciously mispelled by Android So much for developing the platform and providing new ideas for performance, reliability and cost. Get AMD Stage 3 (or even better stage 3+) and don't do the clutch ever again, if you're driving normally without abusing stuff to no end. AMD is proven, so I would strongly advise to not donkey around with clutches and get proven set up. AMD rates their stage 1, which is mounted to modified (higher clamping than stock) PP at 550ft/lb. ![]() that will be a close call and as such, you should NOT do it and go directly for better clamping clutch, which I bet you will have some choices as there must be inexpensive B7 RS4 clutches out there that can hold more than 500. ![]() I can say that since my stage 3 with 8 puck fibertuff is super smooth and it has far more positive engagement than stock organic stuff. As such, I can tell you that stock will probably be smooth like butter since that's what you're aiming to run. And lastly we all know someone can sell it for cheaper if they are willing to make a smaller profit and some places are just cheaper to make a product.ĭid someone say something bad about TTV? Because I am not sure what you'r mad about.Nobody runs it specifically but lots do TTV B5 FW side and B7 (modified) PP side, which is basically same thing sans the height and modified bolts pattern. Prices are effected by material costs and labor cost to have them machined but I am sure you already know that. Clutch Masters has their flywheels made in bulk so they tend to have them in stock ready to go. ![]() The CM flywheel for the 2.7t and 1.8t both have the ring gear machined into the flywheel itself instead of attaching one after the fact. Now that's a service.īecause most of all those shops have their flywheels machined right here in the states, most of them right at Aascc in Southern California. If I remember right it was 40 pounds extra for any alterations you want to basic model and they will turn it for you within two days. The irony is that if you order TTV today, you will have it in your hands literally in two days (they ship with Fedex express 2-day included in price!), while other US options you'll have to wait for a while if you choose ground or pay extra 100$ (due to weight) to have it shipped with faster option but who knows if they have these in stock anyway.Īnd.if you talk to Ben at TTV and want it heavier/ligther, different pins, different step up, he will do it for you. Last time I was in EU, it is not China and to make stuff over there it actually costs money, most of times more than in US, no kids turning lathes there! Ok, explain to me then why CM, southbend, other options in US for a billet steel FW are $700+ and I can get, in my opinion better item since it is truly one piece FW unlike others that still have a screw on starter ring at least, but this stuff shipped from UK is so much less. ![]()
